From waste to profit: The three steps

GreenFuel has successfully installed its systems at gas, coal, and oil burning facilities.

The three phases of a high-yield algae farm system serve to

  • determine on-site conditions and suitable species of algae;
  • minimize risk and ensure economic viability; and
  • optimize the engineering scale.
  •

    First, a Feasibility Assessment Unit (FAU) is mobilized to the host facility to evaluate site conditions and identify an algal species tailored to the target product. Using the results from FAU experiments, a larger Engineering Scale Unit (ESU) is deployed to investigate the potential of full-scale farming. The last step is a Commercial installation which profitably recycles flue gases into biofuels and feed.
