Where can I find the original data ?

Data for this map was taken from the EPA EGRID 2006 database which presents generation and emissions information on all electric generating facilities in the United States. EGRID is made available to the public and can be found here. According to the EPA, data presented in the database is current as of fiscal year 2004.

Why doesn't the map display properly after my query?

Most likely this is due to the fact that your query returned a lot of results and the map needs more time to process your request. In most cases the best thing to do is to be patient. If the map does not appear with markers after 30 seconds then this means your query did not return any results.
